If you don’t usually celebrate Thanksgiving, then this year you can. The team at Think Gin has compiled a list of the best Thanksgiving Gin Cocktails to let you celebrate the season.
Pumpkin Pie Martini
This cocktail is a staple of any Thanksgiving menu and the perfect way to end your meal if you’ve filled up on dinner.
Ingredients
40ml Gin
Dash of Vanilla Extract
30ml Spiced Rum
30ml Ginger Liqueur
2 tbsp Pumpkin Puree
2 tbsp Caster Sugar
1 tsp Ground Pumpkin Pie Spice (Mixed Spice Will Suffice)
Squirty Cream
Instructions
Add the gin, vanilla extract, ginger liqueur and pumpkin puree into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well until combined. Coat the rim of a martini glass in mixed spice and sugar mix. Double strain the martini into the glass and top with a squirt of cream.
Recommended Garnish
We would recommend a slight dusting of the spice on top for the best look.
Cranberry Sauce G&T
Who said that cranberry sauce can only be served with turkey? This cocktail is a refreshing taste on an old classic.
Ingredients
60ml Gin
15ml Sugar Syrup
15ml Lemon Juice
1 tsp Cranberry Sauce
Tonic Water
Lemon Wheel
Method
In a cocktail shaker, place ice and add the gin, sugar syrup, lemon juice and cranberry sauce. Shake with the ice for ten seconds, then strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Top with desired amount of tonic.
Recommended Garnish
Garnish with a lemon wheel.
The Help You See in the Dark Gin Cocktail
It’s time to put that old wife’s tale of carrots helping you see in the dark to the test with this great cocktail!
Ingredients
60ml Gin
15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
115ml Carrot Juice
Method
Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake and strain over a Highball glass fill with ice.
Recommended Garnish
Garnish with a shaved carrot with the stalk still attached.
Pumpkin Maple Gin Fizz
This cocktail is a sweet taste on a classic and sure to be a hit this Thanksgiving.
Ingredients
40ml Gin
10ml Pumpkin Puree
10ml Lemon Juice
15ml Egg White
10ml Orange Juice
20ml Maple Syrup
4 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
Sprinkle of Nutmeg and Cinnamon
Method
Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker full of ice and shake. Strain into a highball glass.
Recommended Garnish
Garnish with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg and cinnamon
Pumpkin Gin Sour
This Thanksgiving taste on a classic is a great way of getting involved in the festivities.
Ingredients
50ml Gin
1 tbsp Pumpkin Puree
One Egg White
Juice of half a lemon
Method
Combine your ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake. After 30 seconds, add ice, then shake again for 30 seconds. Strain into a serving glass.
Recommended Garnish
We recommend garnishing with a slice of lemon.
Spiced Pomegranate Cocktail
This time of year is perfect for a Spiced Pomegranate Gin Cocktail. It seems that when you put spice in front of fruit, it becomes more popular!
Ingredients
50ml Gin
30ml Pomegranate Juice & Seeds
Lime Juice
Tonic Water
Olives
Method
Add the pomegranate juice to a glass with ice. Shake the lime juice, gin, seeds and ice in a shaker and strain into the glass. Top up with the desired amount of tonic.
Recommended Garnish
Garnish with two olives and a sprig of parsley.
Pearodise Gin Cocktail
This cocktail uses what can be a quite underrated fruit. Although pear usually goes nicely in cider, here we have accompanied it with our gin.
Ingredients
60ml Gin
½ a Pear
35ml Sugar Syrup
15ml Lemon Juice
Method
Muddle the pear with the sugar syrup. Add lemon juice and gin to a cocktail shaker full of ice and the pear syrup. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass.
Recommended Garnish
Garnish with a slice of candied pear.
