This month’s featured gin is Nelson Gin, coming to us from Nelson’s Distillery in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire! Nelson’s was founded in 2013 by Neil Harrison, a passionate chef who wanted to create a culinary experience in Gin and so their award-winning N0.7 London Dry Gin was born, a complex blend of 27 botanicals which ends with a soft vanilla note.
Bright and clear with pronounced juniper notes supported with a woody spice and citrus. A slightly creamy mouthfeel with well balanced spices and herbaceous mid tones. Sweet spices and citrus find their way through in the finish creating a diverse and interesting character. A complex, but successful marriage of flavours to be sure!
It’s no surprise that this gorgeous gin, and a number of Nelson’s other gins and rums, have won a wide variety of awards, including IWSC Silver awards, and 3* Gold Great Taste awards.
