Dockyard Gin (50cl, 20%)
This month’s featured gin is Dockyard Gin from the Copper Rivet Distillery! Alongside the gin, you’ll also get a mini addition of the Damson Gin, in this box only!
Dockyard Gin History
First distilled in October 2016, this gin offers a fresh and contemporary take on traditional naval gins in celebration of its home at Chatham Dockyard in Kent. Chatham Dockyard was a base for Admiral Lord Nelson, and the HMS Victory – the flagship of the Battle of Trafalgar- was launched from the dock.
The Distillation Process
The Copper Rivet Distillery is one of only a handful of distilleries in the UK to control the whole distillation process from grain to glass. This results in a distinctive, smooth and easy-drinking spirit with natural sweetness. Each gin is manufactured through ‘Janet’, a patented hand-made copper still. Each gin includes Italian juniper berries, elderflower, coriander seeds, orange peel, lemon peel, green cardamom, grains of paradise, angelica & orris root.
Result & Perfect Serve
The result is a dry citrus gin with floral notes. The finish combines sweet & spicy flavours, ensuring a well-balanced and delicious gin, perfect for any palate.
For the perfect serve, pour over ice with your favourite tonic and a slice of pink grapefruit.
Dockyard Gin is proud to be the first Think Gin partner to feature a virtual distillery tour and live Q&A, with details to follow on our social channels!
