This month’s featured gin is Magpie Hill London Dry Gin from Magpie Hill Gin!
Magpie Hill Gin History
This gin was created by husband and wife team Alex and Rhian in 2020, who live in South Shropshire on Clee Hill, adjacent to Magpie Hill, the inspiration of this gin.
The Distillation Process
Each gin is hand crafted using foraged botanicals from Magpie Hill, including the gorse from the bushes on the common. This is added to a selection of floral and citrus botanicals that are used to create this gin.
Result & Perfect Serve
The result is a citrus taste that gives way to subtle, floral notes of lavender and rose, rounded off by the fragrant gorse.
This gin has already won awards for its quality, taking silver at the World Gin Awards 2021. To enjoy this gin, have it neat over ice or pair with a premium tonic.

English Garden
This cocktail is the perfect celebration of the English garden!
For the best-looking cocktail, garnish with a cucumber slice.
Ingredients
50ml Gin
25ml Lemon Juice
25ml Cloudy Apple Juice
1tbsp Clear Honey
250ml Sparkling Wine
Cucumber
Method
Add mint & cucumber to a cocktail shaker. Crush & add the gin, juice, honey & ice cubes. Shake & pour into glasses. Top with sparkling wine.
Recommended Garnish
Use fresh mint and cucumber for the best garnish.
